\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

A few words on the history of the park<\/strong><\/p>

In 1970, the Signal de Bougy site was targeted by a Swedish group looking to build a private clinic there. Public opinion mobilised to save the place. Pierre Arnold, director of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives, proposed buying it with Migros Culture Percentage funds and building a park along the lines of the one in Zurich-R\u00fcschlikon. In the end, the \u00ab Fondation Pr\u00e9 Vert \u00bb, a foundation independent of Migros, was set up to build and run the park. The H\u00f4tel du Signal was demolished to make way for the park, which opened in 1971.<\/p>

Signal de Bougy park was inaugurated on 2 July 1971 in the presence of Ad\u00e8le Duttweiler, who co-founded Migros in 1925 with her husband Gottlieb Duttweiler.<\/p>

<\/p>

The support of the Migros Culture Percentage<\/strong><\/p>

Since 1957, the Migros Culture Percentage has supported cultural and social initiatives and offers a wide range of activities to the general public. Created in 1970, the Fondation Pr\u00e9 Vert du Signal de Bougy is supported by the Migros Culture Percentage. Its mission is to maintain and develop the park and to keep it accessible to the public. Whether for children and families coming to enjoy themselves or for companies looking for a moment of relaxation and exchange, Signal de Bougy holds a special place in people\u2019s hearts.<\/p>

The Foundation could not fulfil its aims without the financial support of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives and the French-speaking regional cooperatives (Migros Gen\u00e8ve, Migros Neuch\u00e2tel, Migros Fribourg, Migros Valais and Migros Vaud). Each year they contribute a joint subsidy of nearly 1.5 million francs to cover the operating deficit \u2014 park maintenance, staff and so on.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
