data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>A few words about the park&#039;s history<\/strong><\/p><p>In 1970, the Signal de Bougy site was coveted by a Swedish group to build a private clinic. A groundswell of public opinion arose to save the site. Pierre Arnold, Director of the Migros Cooperatives Federation (FCM), proposed buying it with Migros Cultural Percentage funds and building a park similar to the one at Zurich-Ruschlikon. The Fondation Pre Vert, an independent Migros foundation, was eventually created to build and manage the park. The Hotel du Signal was demolished to make way for the park, which opened in 1971.<\/p><p>Signal de Bougy Park was inaugurated on 2 July 1971 in the presence of Adele Duttweiler (co-founder of Migros in 1925 with her husband Gottlieb Duttweiler).<\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p><strong>The support of the Migros Cultural Percentage<\/strong><\/p><p>Since 1957, the Migros Cultural Percentage has supported cultural and social initiatives and offers a wide range of activities to the general public. Founded in 1970, the Fondation Pre Vert du Signal de Bougy is supported by the Migros Cultural Percentage. Its mission is to maintain and develop the park and preserve its accessibility to the public. Whether it&#039;s children and families coming for fun, or businesses looking for moments of relaxation and exchange, Signal de Bougy holds a special place in people&#039;s hearts.<\/p><p>The Foundation could not achieve its goals without the financial support of the Migros Cooperatives Federation and the French-speaking societies (Migros Geneva, Migros Neuchatel, Migros Fribourg, Migros Valais and Migros Vaud).
